1 minute video


 For this project, we had to record a one minute video of what we did on our weekend. on the Sunday, I was at a rehearsal for a show so I reordered part of one of the songs we where doing. I chose to record this because on the Saturday I  was at a con with hundreds of other people who I did not have permission to film. 
    I filmed this as I forgot the dance many times and I thought filming it would help, I also filmed it as I thought it would be interesting for an outsider to watch. I think the filming went well, even though it is a simple 1 minute video, it does the job of helping me remember the dance. I set the camera up and took a wide shot for the film so I could get everyone in.

OUR MEDIA PRODUCT - PEAR PRESSURE

OUR MEDIA PRODUCT - PEAR PRESSURE Our media product is a short film created for an international competition called DEPICT. DEPICT challenges low-budget filmmakers to create a 90 second ultra-short masterpiece and focuses on “ uncovering emerging international filmmaking talent, which shows originality, imagination and the ability to engage in just a minute and a half .” (DEPICT - About, 2021) . Shortlisted filmmakers are rewarded with cash prizes, masterclasses from experts in the field and exposure to industry professionals. On the website (Oscars, 2021) , a short film is defined as “ as an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits ” (Oscars, 2021) meaning that our 90 second video correctly fits the description of a short film.
