For this shoot, I had to take images that matched a certain emotion. For our first image theme, I shot loneliness. To achieve this theme, we changed the shutter speed to be slower, so the people walking in the background would seem blurred, while the main vocal point in the foreground of the image remains still. Some of the images had to high an exposure, meaning that too much light was let in and it made everything look pale. Our next theme was fear, we achieved this through creating a background using a tapestry sheet and putting a light stand behind the background sheet to create shadows, we then got someone to put their hand over the light but under the background sheet to create a spooky shadow. We also responded to the theme of fear by using a high angle image and looking down at the subject of the image - we then using a light stand at a high angle to help create fear through the use of shadows and contrast. To show the theme of danger, we set the camera at a low angle and directed up towards the hand holding the hand to give a feeling that the subject of the image had power and was dangerous. We also set the light stand up next to the camera at a low angle looking up so that it created shadows on the gun which contrast to the brightness of the hand. I enjoyed doing this shoot as I did photography for GCSE's and it was fun to do it again, I also really like the way the photos turned out because I think they show the emotion we picked very well.
